The Elizabethtown/Hardin County Industrial Foundation, a not-for-profit economic development organization, was formed in 1955 by a group of private citizens that realized a need for industry recruitment, retention and the creation of jobs. Today, the Foundation is comprised of 18 board members who include representatives from various businesses, industries, community and educational groups. The Mayor of Elizabethtown, the Hardin County Judge/Executive and the Chairman of the Elizabethtown/Hardin County Chamber of Commerce serve on this board.

Richard (Rick) Games is the President and Chief Operating Officer for the Foundation. As a lifelong resident of Hardin County, he has an extensive background in local government, a close working relationship with local industrial leaders and works closely with state officials in the recruitment and retention of companies and their employment opportunities for the Elizabethtown/Hardin County area.

Cherri Spalding is the Administrative Assistant to the President and COO. She is a lifelong resident of Hardin County and has a background in education and manufacturing.
